Bed Linens
When choosing new linens, the most common mistake is "bigger is better" when talking about thread count. Your quality indicators are:
TYPE OF COTTON - cotton sheets are best for bedding due to it's ability to breathe. The best thread is made from mature, long staples of cotton such as Egyptian or American Upland Cotton.
WHERE IT'S WOVEN - makes a big difference in the finished product. The best weavers in the world tend to come from Italy, Portugal, Germany, Israel and other European countries.
TYPE OF WEAVE - the 2 most common weaves for linens are Percale - which produces a soft, cool, crisp sheet and Sateen - producing a smooth sheet with a slight luster.
THREAD COUNT - is simply the number of threads per square inch and high versus low is a personal preference. A 220TC produces a crisp cool sheet that will become plusher over time. A 500TC will tend to be lighter and smoother.
We offer only GOTS certified organic cotton. It's softer, lasts longer and it's globally responsible.
